Economic Anxiety in Wartime (December 18, 2024)

How often do Russians feel anxiety about the economy? We find fairly little variation over time. Economic anxiety seems to have decreased somewhat (though not much) in the last 6 months. Today, about 50\% of people polled say they feel anxiety often or more, approximately 45\% say sometimes or less; and about 5\% say they don't know.
Here's a time series plot that goes back to June 2022, when we first started asking this economic anxiety question regularly. The numbers are still fairly stable (when dichotomized, and along the 6-point scale).
As in previous posts, note that the data have not been weighted by sociodemographic characteristics to reflect the overall population. Our sample tends to skew somewhat younger & more educated than the overall population.
